School of Community Health Sciences
At the School of Community Health Sciences (SCHS), we take our mission, Making Health Happen, to heart, and our mission starts with educating students who will become the future community health leaders. In less than five years our School’s enrollment has nearly tripled to 2,459 students in 2018-2019. We are very excited to have our first PhD student graduate this coming May and have 175 students enrolled in our online Masters of Public Health program. Please join together as alumni, faculty, staff, and community partners in preparing our students on their journey to become public health and health care professionals by making a gift to the School of Community Health Sciences (SCHS).
Join me in supporting our students’ success by making a gift to our SCHS General Fund, your gift will allow for the maximum amount of financial flexibility to support emerging opportunities, student enrichment, and faculty excellence to educate our students. Some of the most pressing areas for support are:
- Student scholarships and funding for our HealthFIT program. Students who participated in HealthFIT have a 10% higher retention rate and higher graduation rates than students who don’t participate in the program.
- Faculty support for professorships and additional faculty for the Center of the Application of Substance Abuse Technologies (CASAT).
Your ongoing commitment to the School is greatly appreciated and we ask that you make a year-end, tax-deductible gift to the SCHS General Fund, ensuring we fulfill our promise to prepare our students to become the best they can be in their future endeavors. Every gift to the School of Community Health Sciences, no matter the size, makes a difference.
