College of Business

College of Business

The University of Nevada, Reno’s College of Business aims to equip our students with the tools they will need to be successful in business and life after they graduate. As a premier global provider of business education, it is our responsibility to prepare our students to become competitive, ethical and innovative. These are the qualities we aim to instill in our 3,700 students through the programming that we have created for them to succeed and address 21st century challenges. Support from our alumni and friends, like you, allows the College of Business to continue offering vital programs and opportunities for our undergraduate and graduate students.

Established in 2008, over 450 students have participated in the Nevada Global Business Program. The vision of the Nevada Global Business Program is to provide every College of Business student an opportunity for experiential learning in a global setting. Nevada Global Business applies concepts and theories from regular courses with students learning from companies doing business abroad, engaging in cultural activities and studying applied leadership. We currently offer learning opportunities in locations like Toronto, London, Singapore, Argentina, Australia, Costa Rica, Poland, and New York.

Wolf Pack Shadow is another program that gives students the opportunity to have experiential learning. Wolf Pack Shadow allows students to experience a day in the life of their prospective career fields. Partnerships have included shadows with Zappos, Haws Corporation, Microsoft, Intuit, ITS Logistics, Renown and many others. Selected students shadow professionals in exciting fields such as marketing, information systems, accounting, human resources and finance.

As alumni and supporters of the College of Business, you understand the importance of programs such as the ones highlighted above. Please support the College of Business with a year-end, tax-deductible gift to ensure these opportunities continue for our current and future College of Business students.
