As 2020 comes to an end we wanted to provide an update and thank all of you who have supported our arts programs during these challenging times. With your help, we successfully brought numerous virtual, live-streamed performances into the homes of our supporters near and far. While gathering virtually is not the same as gathering in person, the transition to virtual programming encouraged our faculty and students (and audiences) to think differently about how and where art can be shared.
Although we hope to return to in-person performances and exhibitions in the near future, live-streaming is likely here to stay. Additional funding is needed to support faculty and students with the continued pursuit of their talents and the reinvention of their disciplines and programming. We hope you will continue to support the visual and performing arts at the University of Nevada, Reno in the coming year.
Until we can meet again, we wanted to provide you with two links to on-demand performances that you might enjoy:
- "Bruised and Brave," a musical theater performance focused on mental health during the pandemic. (Use password: health20)
- Fall Dance Festival, featuring student dancers and choreographers using the iconic Quad as their inspiration and stage. (Use password: FallDance20)
Thank you again for your support for the arts at the University of Nevada, Reno!
