This year we held strong to the words of Dr. Eubanks, director of Athletic Bands, “When everything went wrong and nothing felt right, the band kept going.” And that is exactly what we did.
“There was no Band Camp, no section dinners, there was no marching for the Wolf Pack Marching Band. We became a pep band and we focused on the music because that is what kept us going. Even though everything around us was different, it has always been the spirit of our members that has defined our band, and that will never change. So, we rehearsed wherever we could, amidst traffic and construction noises, we wore masks, section leaders handed out hand sanitizer instead of hugs, we kept our distance, we did our part. And in late October, when we finally heard that we would be playing in Mackay that week, it was all worth it. “
Today, we are asking you to continue your support by making a gift to the Wolf Pack Marching Band. Marching Band students commit hundreds of hours of hard work and passion each season to create a band that represents the pride and spirit of the Wolf Pack. Your gift will help provide financial awards to students in need, and your support will ensure the Wolf Pack Marching Band returns stronger than ever, hopefully in new uniforms.
“The band never stopped—the marching stopped, but the music kept playing, the band kept going. We know, we will march into Mackay stadium stronger than ever, with all of you, our Marching Band alumni, donors, friends and family in the stands.”
Please help the Wolf Pack Marching Band be prepared for whatever lies ahead by giving today. Your gift will have double the impact thanks to our ongoing collaboration with Greater Nevada Credit Union, which is again offering a dollar-for-dollar matching gift up to $15,000.
